Craigsville, Virginia
The Town of Craigsville, Virginia has an existing Pall Aria Membrane Treatment System. The system is 14-years old and required an expansion of water production. The Town also wanted to be able to remotely monitor all the water sources feeding the plant (wells and a spring source). The spring source was located a number of miles from the plant in a remote area having no electricity. Water Membranes recommended using a solar panel with battery to provide electrical service at that remote location as well as providing the expansion services the plant required. The Town contracted with Water Membranes to expand the plant, by installing remote monitoring systems at all raw water sources, install a solar panel at one site for power, add additional membrane modules to the rack and update the operating system in order to bring the system up to maximum capacity. From beginning to completion, the project took 14 weeks.
